Public Announcement.

  Latimer’s of Shifnal will be Retiring on 31^st March 2024.

  Easter Sunday sadly, will be our popular restaurant’s final day of serving smashing food.

  Paul is old, albeit with a twinkle in his eye and healthy, but needs more holidays & more pub crawls!

  Becky is not so old, but has knackered her body from years of horses etc. so struggles physically.

  To do Latimer’s justice, it would need to re-open each evening during the week and lunch times too,

  as in the good old days.

  It really needs & deserves the energy and enthusiasm of someone 30 years younger, it could be a

  fabulous opportunity for someone like that, who is not afraid of hard work.

  We converted our Newsagents shop (Barkers News) into Latimer’s 9 years ago, into a busy and

  loved restaurant that has consistently been in the top 10 in Shropshire, on TripAdvisor out of 1,100 

  or so restaurants in the whole of Shropshire. Quite a feat!

 (Naming conventions: Barkers was the name of street newspaper sellers on the streets, up North and

  Latimer’s was after Becky’s Dad (William Latimer Turner D.F.C. hence the aeroplane picture.)

 We have had some fantastic customers through our doors, many of whom we now call friends.    

 We have  hosted numerous special occasions: - Wedding Receptions, Christenings, Baby Showers,

 Funeral Wakes and many birthday celebrations and engagement parties.

 It has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege that people have chosen us.

 Many thanks to you and all of our wonderful customers and all staff, past and present who have

 made Latimer’s  the fantastic place it is and a massive shout out to Dave, Chris & Brian, who have been

 with us from the start and will see us through to the end.

 Right Now...

 The whole building including the apartments etc. is currently for sale currently with Fields of Shifnal

 and also through the owners too, (whichever is easiest. Mob. 07802 820 711)

 We have had some absolute time wasters regarding the sale, so we will now also be introducing an

 Additional Option of putting the restaurant business up for lease also - at £2k per month.
